What you will need:
3 lbs flank steak
½ cup orange juice
½ cup limejuice
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 jalapeno, chopped
2 Tbs chili powder
2 Tbs cumin
1 Tbs paprika
1 Tbs oregano
1 Tbs red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- 1. Pound steak with a meat mallet until ¼ inch thick. Then take a fork and stab the steak all over, this will allow the marinade to soak into the meat.
- 2. Mix remaining ingredients together and combine with steak into large Ziploc bag.
- 3. Place in fridge to marinate 8-12 hours. Be sure to turn the steak frequently and massage marinade into the meat.
- 4. When you’re ready to cook you can throw it on the grill or bake it. We prefer grilled, medium rare is our favorite way to serve this dish.
This is a fantastic dish on it’s own or you can serve with sautéed bell peppers and onion as tacos. Be sure to use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream! Enjoy =]
