Carne Asada

What you will need:

3 lbs flank steak

½ cup orange juice

½ cup limejuice

½ cup soy sauce

½ cup extra virgin olive oil

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 jalapeno, chopped

2 Tbs chili powder

2 Tbs cumin

1 Tbs paprika

1 Tbs oregano

1 Tbs red pepper flakes

 

Instructions:

  1. 1. Pound steak with a meat mallet until ¼ inch thick. Then take a fork and stab the steak all over, this will allow the marinade to soak into the meat.
  2. 2. Mix remaining ingredients together and combine with steak into large Ziploc bag.
  3. 3. Place in fridge to marinate 8-12 hours. Be sure to turn the steak frequently and massage marinade into the meat.
  4. 4. When you’re ready to cook you can throw it on the grill or bake it. We prefer grilled, medium rare is our favorite way to serve this dish.

 

This is a fantastic dish on it’s own or you can serve with sautéed bell peppers and onion as tacos. Be sure to use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream! Enjoy =]
