Managing your stress level is very important in keeping your body healthy. Too much stress can cause numerous health problems such as weight gain, anxiety, lack of sleep, and it can make it hard for you to concentrate. If it becomes too severe it can even cause headaches, upset stomachs, and elevated blood pressure. We strongly recommend finding a way to relieve stress so that you can avoid or atleast lessen chances of these problems.
In today’s more fast paced society, we are faced with larger amounts of pressure at work and at home. With that said, we understand that managing your stress is much easier said than done, but, as we have previously stated, it is imperative to having a higher quality of life. Remember to take time out of your day to allow yourself to relax and forget all of the crazy things that are going on around you. For example, wake up an extra 15 minutes early to stretch and watch your favorite TV show or listen to your favorite music. Find something that works for you and make an effort to relax your body on a regular basis. Don’t let stress affect your health, treat your body well, and it will do the same for you!
Here are some things that you can try:
-Yoga (WE LOVE IT!!)
-Relax with a warm bath
-Write in a journal for 15 minutes everyday
-Workout on a regular basis (we have found this to be the most helpful!)
-Find a good book to read for a few minutes a day
-Try something creative like scrapbooking
-Get a mani, pedi, or full body massage
